Strawberry Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 9 " Pie Crust baked
  • 6 cups fresh strawberries plus more for top washed and drained
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 TBS corn starch or clear gel I usually use clear gel
  • 3 TBS water

Method
 

  1. Slice enough strawberries to go around pie plate. Set aside
  2. Mash the remaining strawberries and set aside
  3. Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
  4. Stir over medium heat adding water and mashed strawberries.
  5. Bring to a slight boil.
  6. Cook for about three minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and cool.
  8. Add filling to baked pie crust.
  9. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
  10. Serve with whipped cream.
