Method
- Slice enough strawberries to go around pie plate. Set aside
- Mash the remaining strawberries and set aside
- Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
- Stir over medium heat adding water and mashed strawberries.
- Bring to a slight boil.
- Cook for about three minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool.
- Add filling to baked pie crust.
- Refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Serve with whipped cream.
