Meatloaf

This classic comfort food is so easy to make and only uses a handful of ingredients.

Equipment

  • 1 loaf pan the one with the drip pan is amazing for meatloaf

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 small bell pepper seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup crushed cracker crumbs we like the buttery kind (club crackers)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper more to taste as needed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Combine all the ingredients except for half of the tomato sauce
  • Form into a loaf and place in a loaf pan
  • Cook at 350 for 35-40 mins covered
  • Drain the loaf pan and top with the remaining tomato sauce
  • Cook an additional 10 minutes uncovered
  • Remove from oven and slice and serve hot
