Chicken Fried Steak

This tender Chicken Fried Steak has a delicious crispy crust.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cube Steaks
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 20 dashes Crystal Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Oil, Shortening or other oil for frying
  • 2 tsp Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning

Method
 

  1. Preheat oil in your skillet to 350 degrees
  2. Combine flour and Tony's in a mixing bowl
  3. In a separate mixing bowl whisk together the buttermilk and the hot sauce
  4. Dredge one piece of cube steak in the flour until coated and white
  5. Dip the cube steak into the buttermilk mixture
  6. Place the cube steak back into the seasoned flour
  7. Add to the oil
  8. Repeat these steps for the remaining cube steaks
  9. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side and carefully flip, then cook for about 5-6 minutes on the other side
  10. Once golden brown, remove from the oil and place on a plate lined with a paper towel to catch the excess grease
